Zombie Air Force Defense Placement: Support the Frontline
Choose a defense placement around exposed frontline pressure, coordinate the drop with allies and adjust the support plan as the battle changes.
Place Zombie Air Force defenses to support the line your squad is trying to hold. The useful placement decision starts with where allies need help against the horde, rather than dropping a defense simply because you have remembered that it is available.
This raid video gives a view of the battle setting where a squad must keep frontline support in mind.
Pick the part of the line that needs support
Start with the squad's immediate objective. If allies are already covering one area, direct your attention toward pressure that is not being handled. A defense should have a reason to be where you place it: helping the group hold the line while aircraft continue attacking.
This is a placement priority, not a fixed map coordinate or a claim about defense range. The frontline situation matters more than a copied location that may have nothing to do with your current battle.
Coordinate the drop with the players around it
| Before the drop | Action | Intended result |
|---|---|---|
| The squad has identified an exposed part of the line | Place support for that problem and say what you are covering. | Allies know where your contribution belongs. |
| Several players are attending to the same area | Ask which pressure still needs help before duplicating the plan. | The squad distributes its attention more deliberately. |
| A Behemoth attracts most aircraft | Keep frontline support in the conversation. | Ordinary zombie pressure does not disappear from the plan. |
Tell teammates the job you expect the drop to support. That makes it easier for an aircraft player to continue attacking elsewhere, and for another support player to avoid assuming the same area is still unattended.
Reconsider the job as the battle changes
Keep watching the line after a drop. If the group's immediate problem changes, communicate the next support priority instead of treating the first placement as the whole session's plan. Follow the deployment options the game actually provides; do not assume a placed defense can be moved, refunded or replaced without a condition.
If your placement idea was sensible but the squad still abandoned the surrounding horde, change the coordination plan before blaming a purchase. If you want to develop the defense role further, use defense upgrades. The defenses guide covers the Cryo Emitter and the role of dropped ground support.
