Zombie Air Force Upgrade List: Combat and Earned Trees
Explore combat and defense upgrade systems, compare the Little Bird, Grimhawk and Cryo trees, then choose one progression goal.
Zombie Air Force has over 180 upgrades, with Credits feeding progression across combat and defenses. Use this upgrade list as an overview of the systems to develop: aircraft attacks, dropped defenses, and the separate earned trees attached to specific aircraft and the Cryo Emitter.
This player gameplay video gives a view of the battle setting before choosing a progression system.
Combat and defense development
Rockets, chain gun fire, air strikes and defenses are the game's named combat options. Treat them as different jobs when deciding where to spend Credits. A player concentrating on aerial attacks has a different immediate goal from someone helping the squad hold the line with dropped defenses.
The advertised total describes the game's broad upgrade offering. It is not a reason to develop every system equally in your first sessions. Pick the tool that fits the job you want to keep doing, then build outward when another role becomes useful.
Named systems with their own earned trees
| System | Distinct feature | Progression choice |
|---|---|---|
| Little Bird Armoury | Aircraft loadout includes a minigun, rocket pods and a cluster launcher. | Develop the aircraft you intend to fly with friends or AI in its two door gunner seats. |
| Grimhawk upgrade tree | The pass grants ZA-6 strike fighter access without Credits, medals or honors. | Keep earning upgrades after the aircraft unlock. |
| Cryo Emitter upgrade tree | The defense freezes nearby zombies solid in pulses. | Choose a defense progression goal around supporting the line. |
The Cryo Emitter's own tree is separate from simply buying the defense pass. Likewise, immediate aircraft access does not complete the Little Bird or Grimhawk trees. That distinction is useful when comparing what a Robux purchase grants with what you will still develop through play.
Choose a system before a shopping list
Start from your next battle role. If you want aircraft offense, concentrate on the aircraft and attacks you actually use. If your group needs frontline support, defense development has a clearer purpose. If friends want to crew a Little Bird, make that crew session part of the decision instead of buying a specialized loadout with no plan to use it.
For a beginner, one focused progression goal is easier to manage than a purchase from every branch. Leave a reserve when you are saving toward another meaningful step, and avoid treating every affordable node as equally useful.
The upgrade order guide turns that choice into an early spending priority. The tree navigation guide explains where aircraft access ends and earned progression begins.
